- Do I need an account or an email address to use The Printable Pet?
- No. No account, no email address and nothing to sign up for is required. Nothing is uploaded and no server ever sees your animal's name.
- Where do my answers go when I fill in a sheet?
- Nothing you type is sent anywhere. The sheet is assembled and the PDF is written in your browser, and your answers live in the URL so a shareable link lets a sitter, a partner or a kennel open the same document.
- Is anything on The Printable Pet veterinary advice?
- No. Everything on the site is a record or a handover document, and nothing on the site is veterinary advice.
- How do you handle published guidelines?
- Where a published guideline exists, its wording is quoted rather than paraphrased, and the source and its publication date are printed on the page. Everything is rechecked each September, and the date the figures on a page were last verified sits under the generator.
- Will the site work on hotel wi-fi?
- Yes. The site is a static site built with Astro, every page is pre-rendered HTML, and each generator is a small isolated component that only loads when you open its page. The PDF library only loads when you click Download, and the site keeps working on hotel wi-fi.
- How many printables are there, and what do they cover?
- There are 12 printables in total, for people with dogs and cats. They include a Pet Health Record Book, a Pet Vaccination Record, a New Kitten Checklist, a New Puppy Checklist, a Puppy Supply List, a Boarding Checklist, Pet Sitter Instructions, a Puppy Potty Training Log, a Pet Emergency Card, a Pet Evacuation Checklist, a Pet Travel Checklist and a Pet Expense Tracker.
- Why is there no contact form?
- There is no contact form because a form would mean collecting and storing your details. You can email hello@theprintablepet.com instead.
- How do you decide what to build next?
- What gets built next is driven by what people ask for. Sheets that print the same thing for everybody do not get built there.
